Is there a technique to turn or hold the tool so that when doing circle cuts, I can get the cut to line up after turning it one round? I notice most of the times, the cut does not line up unlike what is shown in the video.

On the tool there is an arrow thats shows the direction in which you have to turn the tool during your work, otherwise you may get wrong results. @@WEICONinternational Yes, I followed the direction of arrow. In fact, if I go against the arrow for circular cutting only, I get better results. The blade seems symmetrical, so it seems that for circular cutting only, it does not matter whether to follow the arrow. For spiral cutting, I always follow arrow.

Hello, what exactly do you mean by cutting? Is your question about the side cutter, or the stripping range in general? This working range is for all common single wires e.g. with PVC insulation 0.2 mm² to 6 mm² or 24-10 AWG. The side cutter can cut single wires up to 2 mm Cu/AL. Our Tool "Stripper No 2 Cat" is made for insulated PVC data cables (e.g. Cat5, Cat6, Cat7, twisted pair cable) with a diameter of 4.5 - 10 mm adjustment of the cutting depth is not required the precise adjustment of the blade removes the outer jacket accurately. @@WEICONinternational Well the one i had didnt work, soon as the diameter gets below 6mm it hardly even scratches the insulation on cat cables and i tried like 10 different cables. Was in contact with a Weicon employee through the website but after my third email didnt go through (mail delivery error) i had seen enough. Got my money back from my supplier and i didnt even need to send the tool back. Great sign when a supplier doesnt even ask for it cause apparently its normal Weicon tools get returned for not working. I have the tool laying around somewhere and it will land in the trash, where it belongs, when i clean up shop. Moral of the story and my advice for others: stay away from this brand.

Repairing cast iron always means cleaning and then flaming to remove the solvent residues from the deeper layers. 2. Not all cracks are the same, it depends on the width and length, and whether there is a certain pressure inside that puts additional stress on the material. In any case, the cracks would have to be drilled at the ends so that the tension is taken out of the material. Deep scratches, on the other hand, do not cause any problems. 3. With an exhaust there are various gases and vapours that could damage the material, here you would have to know what it is. Maybe a finish with BL or HC 220 makes sense.
